7th Edition of Aerospace Meetings Casablanca: A Groundbreaking Event for the Moroccan Aeronautics and Space Industries

The 7th edition of Aerospace Meetings Casablanca opened this Tuesday, October 3, 2023 in Casablanca, in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ryad Mezzour.

Initiated by the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) in collaboration with the Moroccan Aeronautical and Space Industries Group (GIMAS) and Advanced Business Event (ABE), the event is held from October 3 to 5, 2023. It brings together leaders and professionals from the national and international aeronautics and space industries.

In a press release, AMDIE underlines that this initiative is an excellent opportunity to create exchange bridges between all operators in the aeronautics and space sector established in Morocco and international principals and equipment manufacturers in order to Establish large-scale partnerships and agreements.

The inauguration of this 7th edition of the Aerospace Meetings in Casablanca was marked by the intervention of several officials such as Ali Seddiki, general director of AMDIE, and Afaf Saaidi, aeronautical director at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. They highlighted the strategic importance of the aeronautics sector in Morocco and its potential as an alternative for investors.

The event brought together more than 650 participants, including major international companies. Several themes were discussed, including the “Rise of Operational Excellence in Morocco”, “Quality Human Capital, Key Factor of Industry 4.0” and finally “Cybersecurity: Morocco’s Commitment to Digitalization », which generated discussions and reflections on the prospects for development of the aeronautics sector in Morocco.

It should be noted that Morocco capitalizes on its status as an industrial hub with more than 142 companies operating in the aerospace field. The sector which employs 20,000 people, generates an export turnover of two billion dollars and has an integration rate of 40%, an average growth of 20% per year, or 4 times more than the world average. and 5 times GDP growth. The country continues to adopt innovative technologies to meet the needs of the global aerospace market.
