IN order to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, Jakarta Aquarium once again presents an unforgettable experience for its visitors.

After the success of the underwater flag raising at the celebration of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day last year, this time the Jakarta Aquarium has again stolen the attention with a series of spectacular events that combine tradition and underwater uniqueness.

The highlight of the celebration was the “Underwater Magical Show,” a stunning performance featuring the raising of the Red and White flag underwater, hosted by special guest star, Imel from the music group Ten2Five.

Not only that, Imel also performed the national anthem underwater, accompanied by the amazing sight of 300 species of fish swimming around a giant 5×6 meter flag.

This underwater flag-raising and singing is not just a show, but also reflects the diversity of aquatic animals that are characteristic of the Jakarta Aquarium.

Different from conventional pole climbing which is done on land, this time participants have to climb the pole from top to bottom, facing greater challenges due to water pressure.
