75 years after partition, the story of the gateway from one country to another – Pakistan

Professor Amin Chauhan of Lahore has received the door of his ancestral house left in India. Seeing this door, Prof. Amin Chauhan might not control his emotions and helplessly kissed her with wet eyes.

Professor Amin Chauhan has been sent this door from India by his friend Palwinder Singh. From the city of Batala in Indian Punjab, this door has reached Lahore via Mumbai, Dubai and Karachi.

At the time of the creation of Pakistan in 1947, Punjab and Bengal were the divided provinces. This partition divided millions of families. People who went to India from Pakistani areas or came to Pakistan from Indian Punjab had to lose their ancestral houses and equipment.

There are a few lucky ones who got back some of the items they left behind in India. Professor Amin Chauhan of Lahore is also included among them.

Palwinder Singh from Indian Punjab sent this door as a reminder that friendship and love know no boundaries and span all distances. Prof. Amin Chauhan’s ancestral home is located in Ghoman Pind of Batala.

The video of receiving the door has also gone viral on social media. Amin Chauhan welcomed the door that reached Lahore through many routes with great emotion. The video posted by Saad Zahid on Instagram will fill you with emotions too.
