75-year-old Patrick Duffy was given a second chance, he found the meaning of his life

The veteran soap opera star, who celebrates his birthday on March 17, lives for cooking and love these days, which he happily informs his fans about on his Instagram.

Patrick Duffy lost his wife to cancer in 2017 and didn’t think he would find a match again. The actor was 24 when he met ballerina Carlyn Rosser, ten years his senior, and they were married for 42 years. Earlier, the actor said that he made peace with being a widower and continues to live his life as a happy grandfather, but the pandemic overcame his calculations.

Patrick Duffy, who celebrated his 75th birthday, met Linda Purl in 2020 and they have been in love ever since.

Patrick, who is known to the world as the Bobby of Dallas, but also played the good-headed dad in the sit-com One to Two for seven years, was brought together by chance with the actress of the series Happy Days, 68-year-old Linda Purl. However, the story of their meeting is less romantic at first glance, as they met during the quarantine due to the coronavirus.

Linda and Patrick had a group of friends in common, who started a group Internet conversation at the beginning of the quarantine, then the acquaintances left the group one by one, and in the end only the two of them remained.

The air between them soon started to spark, so Patrick jumped in the car and drove twenty hours to see Linda to find out if the feelings were real. As it turns out, yes!

“I never thought I would feel this way again. I’m in a very happy relationship”

the actor stated about his relationship a few years ago.

And their relationship has stood the test of time, they moved in together with Linda and bombard social media with their joint cooking videos, and of course they travel the world together. Duffy arrived in Budapest last year with his girlfriend, Linda, because he took on a role in the Hungarian film Lepattanó, about button football fanatics. Although he came to our country for work, he and Linda explored the whole city in their free time, and they also reported on their experiences on their social media pages.

During his stay, Duffy, whose heart is philanthropy, was offered a signed T-shirt by the public media It’s good to be good! for his charity campaign, and he said the following about the donation:

“If you’re giving because you have to give to a charity, then it’s just about assuaging your own conscience. A truly charitable donation comes spontaneously. Charity in itself carries the reward for the one who gives.”
