The third edition of the alleyway project was announced at the Analakely Town Hall. Managed by GRET and funded by AFD (Agence Française de Développement). 75 villages in the Antananarivo capital municipality will benefit from this. All sidewalks, streets, sewers, pumps, laundry facilities, restrooms, libraries, parks, and soccer fields will be renovated and repaired. The aim is to improve the standard of living of the people in the village according to the officials.
Cleaners and project managers will be trained before starting the project. In order to sustain the project according to the information received, RF2 and SMA (Société Municipale d’Assainissement) will be given tools to work. 37 carts, 276 drills, 276 items of small equipment (rake, fourche, pelle, basket, broom) and they are office supplies. In addition, the library will receive computer equipment.
The municipality is always encouraging the residents to join hands in respecting the infrastructure. To maintain the infrastructure and to compensate RF2 for their cleanup work. The project is in collaboration with the Ministry of Land Development and Natural Resources.
