Elon Musk has donated 75 million dollars (about 69 million euros) since last July to “Trump America PAC”, a Super-PAC to support the election campaign of the former US president and Republican candidate. The 53-year-old South African businessman is one of the former president’s staunchest supporters (2017-2021) and has thrown himself completely into support of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement. Musk accompanied Trump this month to a symbolic rally the former president held in the small town of Butler, Pennsylvania, the same place where he was nearly assassinated on July 13.
Documents filed with the Federal Election Commission show that the tycoon, founder of the aerospace company SpaceX, has increased his donations since last July, the month in which he donated almost $15 million to this Super-PAC. In August, it paid $30 million, the same amount as last September. The world’s richest man said today on X that from this afternoon until next Monday he will be in the key state of Pennsylvania to hold a series of talks. «If you want to attend one of my talks, you don’t have to pay an entrance fee. You just need to have signed our petition in support of free speech and the right to bear arms and voted in this election,” Musk posted on X. The race for the White House is heating up.
