The police intercepted a 74-year-old driver on Tuesday evening who caused a hit-and-run road accident in Gingelom, Limburg.
Quickly located thanks to the identification of its license plate, the fleeing vehicle was quickly found by the police.
Submitted to a breathalyzer test which came back positive, the driver was unable to present a driving license. And for good reason: questioned by the agents, the septuagenarian behind the wheel admitted to driving without a license for fifty years.
Upon examination of the vehicle, officers noticed signs of another accident. By reconstructing the septuagenarian’s route, the police then understood that the car had also hit the side facade of a house in the surrounding area.
After drawing up the regulatory report, the police seized the vehicle.
