7 women file a complaint after the discovery of a camera in a hospital toilet

A man has been arrested and is expected to stand trial shortly. He admitted to having installed a surveillance camera in the toilets of a hospital in Côtes-d’Armor.

A 32-year-old man was arrested and then taken into police custody on Tuesday in Saint-Brieuc, Brittany, reports West France. He will be tried soon for having placed a camera in the toilets of the private hospital of Côtes-d’Armor, in Plérin, following seven women lodged a complaint, the newspaper said.

The Saint-Brieuc gendarmerie learned of the case in November, when a woman came to file a complaint. An employee of a catering company located in the hospital, she says that a camera was installed without the knowledge of the service provider’s staff, in the toilets dedicated to her. Also according to the daily, the police specify that these toilets are not accessible to the public.

Six other women then take the same step. After his arrest, the suspect, a storekeeper employed in the same catering company, ended up confessing the facts, specifies West France. He will have to answer for his actions before the court of Saint-Brieuc.
