A total of 7 women and children were killed as a result of Israeli air strikes in Syria. Meanwhile, 11 others were injured as a result of the attack on a residential building in the Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus, Syria.
“Israeli enemies launched an airstrike with three missiles from the occupied Golan, targeting a residential building in the densely populated Mezzeh neighborhood of Damascus,” SANA news agency reported citing an unnamed military source.

Significant material damage was reported to be the cause of the rising death toll and rescue operations were underway to evacuate people trapped under the rubble of the building.
The state news agency shared photos showing the impact of the Israeli strikes, with smoke billowing from the targeted buildings. No further details were reported.
Meanwhile, Iran’s official news agency, IRNA, said Israel had targeted a building near the Iranian embassy in Damascus.
Israel has carried out air strikes in Syria since 2011, targeting government forces, Iranian forces and the Hezbollah group. (H-3)
