Bareskrim Polri handed over seven suspects who were members of the overseas election committee (PPLN) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung), Friday (8/3). The transfer of suspects and evidence was carried out because the case files were declared complete or P-21.
“Yes, it’s already P-21. Next, this Friday we will hand it over to the Prosecutor’s Office,” said the Director of General Crimes (Dirtipidum) at Bareskrim Polri Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro when confirmed, Thursday (7/3).
Even though they were suspects, the seven suspects were not detained. Djuhandhani said they were cooperative.
“We did not make arrests on the basis that the suspect was cooperative in the summons and during the examination,” he said.
Research on case files by the public prosecutor (JPU) is fairly fast. This is because the case files for the seven new suspects were handed over by investigators to the Attorney General’s Office on Monday (4/3) this week.
For your information, the Dittipidum Bareskrim Polri named seven PPLN Kuala Lumpur as suspects in the alleged 2024 election violations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The suspect is determined following the case is held.
Investigators found that the suspects were involved in allegedly increasing the number of voters. Based on the facts found by the police, the seven PPLN were involved in lobbying regarding the number of final voter lists (DPT) for the election with political parties.
“The final voter list and voter data have been determined by PPLN Kuala Lumpur, carried out incorrectly and not in accordance with the provisions of the law, only based on percentage calculations from lobbying agreements with political party representatives,” explained Djuhandhani. (Z-11)
