The official account of the Saudi Ministry of Health tweeted 7 healthy alternatives to some of the most consumed foods.

7 healthy alternatives to make your food healthier:

  • Salt in food: some spices or lemon
  • Fried food (may be high in fat): grilled food
  • Potato chips (may be high in fat): Unsalted nuts
  • Flavored yogurt (may be high in fat and sugar): Low-fat yogurt with added fruit
  • Adding sugar to drinks: Add a teaspoon of honey
  • Soft drinks (may be high in sugar): sparkling fruit water
  • French fries (may be high in fat): Carrots, or sweet potatoes, roasted in the oven
