An incredible pumpkin village is hidden just an hour from Montreal. This is Pumpkin Town: a magical place where you can pick your pumpkin, in addition to visiting pumpkin houses and cars, and venturing through the corn maze.

2) Taste the excellent Iconoglace ghost sundae

Open until October 10, the Iconoglace creamery offers a sundae that is far from indifferent. This is a “witch’s droppings”, a dessert topped with hot caramel or hot chocolate fondant. A homemade waffle cone hat adds a playful touch. We are completely seduced!

3) Hike to the Marmite aux Sorcières de Sutton

This famous hike in the Sutton Natural Environment Park leads to the Marmite aux Sorcières. It is a water point that imitates a pot. To get there, simply park at P3, cross rue Bernier and follow the directions for the Village-Montagne trail to the Marmite aux Sorcières. The round trip takes only 20 to 30 minutes of walking.

663, chemin Maple, Sutton

All the reasons are good to drink a good pumpkin spice latte in anticipation of Halloween. Here are 30 addresses in Montreal where you can find a pumpkin spice latte.

5) Go to a candlelight concert

Magnificent classical music concerts take place in the city’s most beautiful churches to offer an extraordinary experience. Consider getting your hands on a ticket for the Halloween show on October 21st.

6) Eat (too much) Pillsbury cookies and have a movie marathon

Nothing rocket science here: far from horror films, some films are inspired by the Halloween universe and you may well like it. With some good Halloween Pillsbury cookies, settle in with plenty of blankets and treat yourself to a movie night (yes, yes, you have the right to listen Gilmore Girls, if you wish it).

7) Make a road trip in Salem

About five hours from Montreal, above Boston, MA, Salem is a town filled with history that is AMAZING to visit in the fall. As bewitching as one might wish, the port city offers many activities that fit perfectly into the Halloween theme. Far from the haunted houses, you can enjoy concerts, parades, etc.
