IN an effort to reduce the negative impact on the environment, various environmentally friendly fuel oil (BBM) products have been developed.
This fuel is designed to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants that damage air quality and accelerate climate change.
Here are some environmentally friendly fuel products that are now available:
Pertamax is a high-octane fuel produced by Pertamina, Indonesia’s state oil and gas company.
Pertamax has an octane number of 92, higher than Premium. This fuel is more efficient in combustion, produces lower emissions, and reduces the formation of crust in the engine.
2. Pertamax Turbo
Pertamax Turbo is a fuel variant with a higher octane number of 98 than Pertamax. This fuel is designed for engines with the latest technology and has better combustion efficiency.

With lower sulfur content, Pertamax Turbo reduces harmful exhaust emissions.
3. BioSolar
BioSolar is diesel fuel mixed with vegetable oil, such as palm oil.
The use of BioSolar reduces carbon dioxide emissions and harmful particulates compared to conventional diesel. In addition, BioSolar also supports sustainability because it uses renewable resources.

4. Pertamina Dex
Pertamina Dex is a high octane diesel fuel designed for modern diesel engine vehicles.
With a very low sulfur content, Pertamina Dex helps reduce NOx and particulate emissions, making it more environmentally friendly than regular diesel.
5. Elpiji (LPG)
LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) is a gas fuel used for cooking and transportation.

Compared to liquid fossil fuels, LPG produces lower carbon dioxide emissions and other pollutants. The use of LPG as a vehicle fuel can also reduce harmful exhaust emissions.
6. Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)
CNG is compressed natural gas and is used as an alternative fuel for vehicles.
CNG produces lower carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon emissions compared to gasoline or diesel. In addition, CNG is also more economical and has almost zero sulfur content.
7. Electric Vehicles (EV)
While not a fuel in the traditional sense, electric vehicles (EVs) are gaining popularity as a more environmentally friendly alternative.
EVs use rechargeable electric batteries, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and producing zero emissions when in use.
With the development of battery technology, EVs are becoming an increasingly efficient and practical future solution.
The use of environmentally friendly fuel products not only helps reduce negative impacts on the environment, but also encourages the use of more efficient and sustainable technologies.
Society and industry are expected to increasingly turn to this fuel to support global efforts to address climate change and preserve the environment. (Z-10)
