In which, there were 147 traffic accidents on the road, 85 people died and 109 people were injured. There were four railway accidents, killing four people and injuring one. There was an incident on the waterway in An Giang, injuring one person.

Traffic police of units and localities have inspected and handled 21,990 cases of violations, fined over VND 50.4 billion, seized 639 cars and 9,910 motorbikes, stripped of 4,950 driving licenses of all kinds.
In which, violations of alcohol concentration were handled 7,726 cases (increasing 6,620 cases over the same period). Some localities handled violations of high alcohol concentration such as Hai Phong 616 cases, Hanoi 558 cases, Ho Chi Minh City 483 cases, Quang Nam 480 cases… In addition, the force also detected and handled 17 cases. the case of the driver positive for drugs.

The Highway Traffic Control Patrol Teams under the Traffic Police Department inspected, detected and handled 176 cases, fined VND 807 million, and seized 25 vehicles; detected 1,569 violations through the surveillance camera system, made a record of 17 cases, and sent violation notices in 1,552 cases.
Through patrolling, controlling and handling violations, the traffic police force directly and coordinated with functional forces to arrest 19 criminal cases, 31 people assigned to investigation agencies for handling.
