67 906 new people tested positive, 233 additional hospitalizations and 30 deaths recorded in Switzerland and Liechtenstein: this is the assessment of the pandemic for the last three days, indicates this Monday the Federal Office of Public Health (OFSP). Compared to last week, cases increased slightly (63’647 last monday) most hospitalizations (233) are stable and we chas fewer deaths (48). During the last 72 time, 219 414 tests have been performed and the PCR test positivity rate is 37,8% (28,2% for rapid antigen tests).
The intensive care unit occupancy rate is 74%: 31,3% of Covid and 4 patients2,7% non-Covid. In addition, there are more than 210’000 people without contacts, 162’958 in solitary confinement and 51’699 in quarantine.
We now count 4080 case for 100’000 inhabitants over the last fourteen days. As for the reproduction rate (R) posted today by the OFSP, it is 1.12. In French-speaking Switzerland, it n’est less than 1 than in the Jura: 0.99. Elsewhere it is 1,07 in Valais, 1.11 in Freiburg, 1.14 in the canton of Vaud and in Geneva, and 1,19 in Neuchâtel.
In total, since the start of the pandemic, Switzerland has counted 12’156 death, 41’486 hospitalizations as well as 1’734’320 people who tested positive for coronavirus.
With 4080 case for 100 000 inhabitants (3,218 last Monday), the fourteen-day incidence rate in Switzerland is higher than that of most of our neighbors, according to WHO figures: Germany (934), Austria (1,671) and Italy (3,827 ). The incidence is however higher in France: 5500.
Switzerland now has 67,9% of its population fully vaccinated (77,2% if we only count the more than 12 years) and 1,7% partially. In the French-speaking cantons, it is 70,4% of people completely vaccinated (3% partially) in Neuchâtel, 69,3% (1,1%) in the canton of Vaud, 68,6% (1,1%) in Freiburg, 68,4% (1,9%) in Geneva, 64,8% (4,3%) in Valais and 63,5% (3,2%) in the Jura.
34,3% of population received a booster dose. This proportion is 70,7% among 65 years and older.
