OSINT, a proof revolution
Radio France has put a podcast online on OSINT, or Open Source INTelligence. It is “ the ability to collect and exploit open data, available without the need to resort to legal or coercive means, trickery or hacking ».
An extract : ” OSINT achieves a precision to which the current contradictory confrontation of human testimonies as organized by our procedure cannot claim. This new metric of proof makes it possible to grasp the dynamics of an action and offers possibilities for interactive interpretation of strictly speaking unimaginable facts, which renew not only the organization of the trial, the balance of arms, the relationship between knowledge and power so strong in the French procedure, but also in many other areas ».
