Asuncion, IP Agency.- The closing ceremony of the Diploma Course “Preparation and Evaluation of Energy Efficiency Projects in SMEs in Paraguay” was held, organized by the Development Finance Agency (AFD), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), in coordination with the National University of Asunción (UNA).
The training is part of an energy efficiency programme for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which is expected to allocate USD 40 million to finance 300 projects over the next five years.
The diploma course aims to provide graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to advise SMEs in the identification, financing, development and execution of energy efficiency investment projects and ensure the success of the financing program.
It is promoted by AFD and supported by the IDB and the Green Climate Fund (GCF). 65 students graduated from the program, mostly from the financial sector and from the public and private sectors, who participated as scholarship recipients.
AFD highlights that the Diploma in the Development and Evaluation of Energy Efficiency Projects in SMEs in Paraguay is a valuable tool that seeks to improve the sustainability, efficiency and competitiveness of companies, while contributing to a more sustainable future for the country.
