64-year-old man dies from atmospheric discharge in Menongue – news

A 64-year-old man died in Menongue, Cuando Cubango, and three others suffered minor injuries as a result of an atmospheric discharge.

These are members of the same family, who were inside a hut, in the town of Urica-5, 25 kilometers northeast of the city of Menongue, capital of Cuando Cubango, when it was raining.

Speaking to ANGOP on Saturday, the spokesman for the Civil Protection and Fire Service command in Cuando Cubango, Albano Cutarica, said that the injured, two 25-year-old twin sisters and a 17-year-old teenager, are at the General Hospital undergoing treatment.

It should be noted that at the beginning of this month two lightning strikes were recorded, which caused two deaths in Rivungo and five injuries.
