Citing the Prevention and Control of Disease (Compulsory Testing of Certain Persons) Regulation (the Regulation) (Cap. 599J), the Government gazetted the mandatory testing notice under the Regulation, requiring the person to have been in 62 People in designated places need to be tested for the new coronavirus.
In response to 47 local cases, 12 cases related to earlier cases, 1 imported case and 1 preliminary case, 59 specified places were included in the mandatory testing notice. The government strongly reminds citizens that they must strictly abide by the mandatory testing requirements and complete the mandatory testing on time. The government will knock on the door at individual designated places to notify the residents of the mandatory testing requirements, and try to set up mobile sampling stations to ensure that they receive mandatory testing in accordance with the requirements of the mandatory testing announcement. In addition, in response to the collection of sewage samples for the detection of novel coronavirus at Yu Tung House in Wong Tai Sin Tung Tau (2) Village, Gui Tung House in Wong Tai Sin Tung Tau (2) Village and Block 1 and 2 of Tai Hing Garden Phase 1 in Tuen Mun , 3 specified scopes are included in the mandatory inspection announcement.
