600 young people expected in Serre Chevalier for the Ski d’Or

On April 1 and 2, more than 600 young skiers will come to challenge each other in Serre Chevalier for the 35th Ski D’Or. This competition reserved for esf students allows young skiers to compete on a national scale. On Saturday April 1 at 7 p.m., the DJ Sound of Legend will set the mood at La Salle les Alpes (Place du Rozé) for a big free DJ set open to all.

Created by the esf for those over 14 years old with at least the Chamois d’argent, the Ski d’Or allows esf students to compete on a national scale. It is organized for the categories Minimes, Cadettes, Juniors, Senior girls and Cadets, Juniors, Senior boys.

At the same time, parents will also have their golden ski : a giant slalom in one round dedicated to the parents of the competitors. During the 2022 edition, more than 600 children and 200 parents took part in the race.

The Ski D’Or will take place on two days of racing with two events: a two-run slalom (chamois type) and a parallel slalom final at the Aravet stadium, Villeneuve sector of the Serre Chevalier ski area. There final and the results can be followed live on the esf website.

On Saturday April 1 at 7 p.m., DJ Sound of Legend will set the mood at La Salle les Alpes (Place du Rozé) for a big free DJ set open to all.. The French artist had a year 2022 rich in success with his last two singles “Maniac” (Disque D’or in France) and “I’m So Excited” which have accumulated more than 45 million Streams. Sound Of Legend kicks off 2023 very strongly with “Some Kind Of Kiss” a cover of the Pop/Rock group Cutting Crew – (I Just) Died In Your Arms.

Pierre Vaultier, esf and regional athlete of the stage, will accompany the competitors

Pierre Vaultier, snowboard cross champion with multiple medals and Serre Chevalier Vallée Briançon ambassador, joined Jean-Baptiste Grange, Julien Lizeroux, Marie Dorin-Habert and Ophélie David in Team esf in February 2023. It will thus, in turn, carry, tell, inspire and embody the esf while highlighting the values ​​dear to the brand, namely sharing, transmission, passion and benevolence. Living in Serre Chevalier, he will be “at home” to support the young Ski D’Or champions. Marie Dorin Habert, Olympic champion biathlete and Team esf athlete, will also be present to share her experience as a high-level athlete.
