The Children and Adolescents Police and the Prosecutor’s Office gave priority to the death of a 6-year-old boy, who was taken without vital signs to the Ciudadela Road July 20 last Sunday, November 19, at 2 in the morning.
The case is under investigation because the minor had bruises in different parts of the body.
The information that the authorities have in their possession indicates that the child’s mother, of Venezuelan nationality, arrived at the residence, in the Ciudadela 20 de Julio neighborhood, upon a call from her romantic partner (the child’s stepfather) and he told her that the minor was sick.
Upon arriving at the property, the mother realized that the little boy had no vital signs and that is why she immediately took him to Camino Ciudadela 20 de Julio, but there the doctors confirmed his death.
The mother told the police that she always left the child in the care of a neighbor, but on this occasion she left him with the stepfather.
The little boy’s body was taken to Forensic Medicine and we are awaiting the forensic report to establish the causes of his death, in order to determine whether it was a natural or violent death.
