6 tips for lighting your garden as it should be

  1. Light up the trees

Do you have a weeping willow and pretty pines in your garden? This is an opportunity to wrap them in beautiful garlands to give a small guinguette look to your exterior during dinners with friends. On the other hand, if it is the trees that you want to highlight, it will be better to favor the green LED bars which blend into the decor. Of course, choose the color and size of these lights according to the vegetation you have in your garden.

  1. Light up the patio

Imagine having an aperitif in the month of July without light… Of course, eating by candlelight has its charm, but it is still better to see what you have on your plate! So, to see clearly, we put everything on the lighting of the terrace. For this you can install a luminaire ledwhich will provide enough light on your outdoor dining area.

  1. Mark the places of passage

A small path lined with pebbles leads to your garden? Why not highlight it by means of bollards or spotlights placed at ground level. These will not be very visible and will discreetly light the way without dazzling. Another idea: place garlands high up to guide your guests.

  1. Fiat Lux in planters

If you have many plants in pots or flowers in planters, it would be a shame if we could not admire their beauty after dark! To remedy this problem, you can install spot lights, to be placed inside the pots. You can also opt for backlit pots, in order to obtain a more modern decoration and give color to your exterior.

  1. Don’t neglect the pool

A beautiful pool is highlighted! And it’s your lucky day, because there are endless possibilities for lighting a swimming pool: halogen floodlights, an LED floodlight, outdoor floodlights… Whether on the stairs, at the bottom of the pool, on the edges or well still on the water, you are spoiled for choice when it comes to lighting. There are even floating lamps of different shapes and colors that bring pep to your outdoor decor.

  1. Focus on non-electric lighting

To add a little romantic touch, there’s nothing like taking out the candles! For example, you can place some in buckets of water, accompanied by a few flowers, so that they float and create a relaxing atmosphere. Another idea: enclose candles in jars and hang them on your fence. You can also do it on the balustrade of your balcony, for a 100% authentic atmosphere (and to consume less electricity).
