The second half of the month of Ramadan witnesses the presentation of six new drama series, in an incident that has not been achieved for years and a change that Egyptian drama has not been accustomed to in recent years, as the 30-episode series dominated the dramatic scene, and behind this change is the increasing tendency to produce the 15 series significantly this year. . Mona Zaki, Menna Shalaby, Donia Samir Ghanem, and Ghada Abdel Razek will present series that revolve around 15 episodes, and will be shown in the second half of Ramadan.

And in a new experience, the artist Ahmed El-Sakka is starring in the series “War”, which is presented in only ten episodes, and its show begins on the 21st of Ramadan, and its events take place in a framework of suspense, and the starring Muhammad Farraj, Ahmed Saeed Abdel-Ghani and Sarah Al-Shami participate in it, and it was written by Hani Sarhan. And directed by Ahmed Nader Galal.

And Mona Zaki stars in the series “Under Guardianship”, in which she embodies the character of a woman who is forced to work on a fishing boat to support her two children following the death of her husband, which exposes her to many harassments from fishermen who refuse to enter their profession. , and Nisreen Amin, and it is written by Khaled and Sherine Diab, and directed by Muhammad Shaker Khudair.

The actress, Menna Shalaby, is participating in the series “Change Joe”, starring Iyad Nassar, Mervat Amin, and the Lebanese actor Saleh Bakri.

It also presents the series “Telat Al-Talata” starring Ghada Abdel Razek, in which three personalities of three twin sisters are embodied, each of whom works in a different profession, and many exciting events take place between them, and it is written by Heba Al-Husseini, directed by Hassan Saleh, and co-starring Ahmed. Magdy, Mai Selim, Mustafa Darwish, and Laila Ahmed Zaher, and the series is facing a lawsuit to stop its broadcast.

As for Donia Samir Ghanem, she stars in the series “Jet Salima”, which takes place in a comic framework, and embodies the character of Amal, who inherits a library from her father following his death, and returns to more than one stage of time during which she engages in many comic adventures, and the series is directed by Islam Khairy.

The series “The Fund” is also shown, starring Hoda Al-Mufti, Ahmed Dash, Muhammad Salam, Khaled Al-Sawy and Mayan Al-Sayed. It was written by Mostafa Saqr and directed by Marwan Abdel-Moneim. The events of the series revolve around the heroine receiving a box on her birthday that contains messages to save a person. before being killed.

And the Egyptian art critic, Ahmed Saad El-Din, believes that the increase in the production of short series represents a “return to the original,” explaining to “Al-Sharq Al-Awsat” that “series were previously shown in 13 or 15 episodes, and there was only one series in thirty episodes, However, what happened was that some producers during the past twenty years found that long series are more profitable, so we witnessed works, some of which were long. But the emergence of platforms and their presentation of series consisting of five and ten episodes contributed to this return.

Saad El-Din enumerates the advantages of the 15-episode series, that they “produce many stars, and are characterized by a fast pace, especially since the viewer at the present time prefers to watch a limited number of episodes,” pointing out that “this type of series will impose itself more in the coming periods.”
