A huge fire broke out inside a garage in the Dokki area in central Giza, today, Monday.

The official of the Civil Protection Operations Room in Giza received a signal from the Emergency Police Department, with a thick escalation of smoke columns and rising flames, from a property on Al-Hassan Street branching from Jeddah Street in the Dokki neighborhood.

Major General Jaber Bahaa, Director of Civil Protection in Giza, pushed the fire engines under the command of his deputy, Major General Alaa Al-Saeed, in coordination with the Dokki Police Department’s commissioner, Colonel Ahmed Kamel.

Examination and inspection revealed that a huge fire had broken out inside a garage under a property, and the civil defense men were working to besiege the source of the fire and prevent its spread to the residential units above the garage.

The initial survey revealed that 6 cars had been charred, and the fire was being brought under control, amid the presence of the civil protection, neighborhood, and police department leaders.
