6 Best iPhone 14 Pro Cases

apple

Not only does Apple’s latest high-end phone feature the faster A16 Bionic chip, but it also doubles as an Ultra HD 48 MP camera that can shoot 8K video. That’s why you should only use one of the best iPhone 14 Pro cases to protect your new phone. Whether you choose a slim and stylish case or a bulky one, you want to keep your iPhone 14 Pro looking new from day one.

1. Editors’ Choice: Caseology Parallax Mag Case Pros: Slim and durable Grippy design MagSafe compatible Cons: Limited color options Limited drop protection Bezels might be bigger

I think the Caseology Parallax Mag is one of the best iPhone 14 Pro cases because it strikes an ideal balance between protection and portability. That’s an important balance, as a case that’s too thick can make this phone lose its smoothness, while a case that’s too thin is prone to damage.

The case’s raised bumper frame provides 360-degree protection for your phone by adding extra reinforcement to its fragile edges. It also has a nice grip texture on the edges to prevent drops from even happening. The most unique part of this case, though, is the 3D geometric pattern on its back panel, which also houses a magnet for use with MagSafe accessories.

2. Snakehive Vintage Leather Wallet Pros: Holds 3 Cards and Cash Folio Stand Compatible with Wireless Charging Cons: Not MagSafe Compatible Limited Drop Protection Bulky Design

While now with Apple Pay and other digital payment methods, carrying cards and cash with you is less of a priority, the Snakehive Vintage Leather Wallet Case is nice enough to last a little longer in the life of my wallet.

This handcrafted folio case is crafted from soft European nubuck leather that develops a rich sheen when used. It doesn’t have the same shock absorption as a thermoplastic shell, but it excels at scratch resistance. Thanks to its folio cover, though, it does a good job of protecting your screen from scratches from other things in your pocket. Of course, this does add bulk as well.

But the case works with (non-MagSafe, 20W+) wireless charging, and it’s available in a variety of colors, so ultimately there are plenty of reasons to use the Snakehive Vintage Leather Wallet Case to protect your phone along with three cards and cash.

3. Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit Zero:One Case Pros: Stylish disassembly design MagSafe compatible Slim and durable Cons: Bezels might be bigger, might be more grippy Hard button cover

While the iPhone has always been beautiful on the outside, did you know it’s also beautiful on the inside? As CNBC said in this article, Steve Jobs wanted the insides of all Apple devices to be beautiful, too, starting with the original Macintosh. Exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro, the Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit Zero:One feels like a tribute to that philosophy.

Featuring a translucent PC back, this snap-on hybrid case shows an approximate look inside the iPhone 14 Pro, revealing an inner beauty that consumers rarely experience. The case is small in profile, but still offers decent drop protection thanks to the bumper frame design. It also supports MagSafe accessories.

4. Poetic Spartan Case Pros: Built-in screen protector Compatible with wireless charging Built-in stand Military-grade drop test Cons: Limited color options Not compatible with MagSafe Bulky design

The Poetic Spartan Case may look ordinary, but its beauty is really in the details. As the name suggests, this case looks fairly simple, but it packs a host of game-changing features, such as a built-in screen protector and a rear-mounted media viewing stand.

One of my favorite details is the rubber port cover, which keeps dust out of the phone’s Lightning port. The case is also fairly sturdy, with air-cushioned corners and chunky bezels to protect the front screen. The case is not MagSafe compatible, but can still be used for normal wireless charging.

5. Apple MagSafe Leather Case Pros: High Quality Leather Multiple Color Options MagSafe Compatible Cons: High Price Tag Limited Drop Protection Could Be Stronger

Apple’s official accessories may be a bit pricey, but compared to the iPhone 14 Pro’s high price, this MagSafe case is a drop in the bucket. For this reason, I absolutely understand the appeal of paying extra for a premium leather finish. The case is made from supple top layer leather that resists scratches and develops a patina over time.

It also features MagSafe support and a matching color kit that pairs with any of Apple’s magnetic accessories. Is it the best case for drop resistance? Not exactly, but it doesn’t necessarily have to take its place among the best iPhone 14 Pro cases and iPhone 14 Plus cases.

At the end of the day, the glory of the Apple MagSafe case rests almost entirely on build quality and aesthetics. But that’s not entirely a bad thing.

6. Case-Mate Soap Bubble MagSafe Case Pros: Slim and Durable, MagSafe Compatible Responsive Button Covers

The Case-Mate Soap Bubble MagSafe case is a fun take on the standard clear case, mixing in the iridescent swirl effect on the phone’s back panel. The back panel also has MagSafe support, which is nice to see in such a slim case. If you have a history of throwing away expensive phones, this might not be a good case for you, but if you’re usually very careful with your stuff, this lightweight snap-on accessory is a great addition to your iPhone 14 Pro Approach some talent.

How We Picked the Best iPhone 14 Pro Cases

If you’ve read my accessories coverage for other new phones like the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max (or any of mine, really), then you already know that I think phone cases are the most important phone accessories. This is far from a controversial point. Just look at the results of this survey conducted by Statista.

You probably don’t know how I’ve separated the best iPhone 14 Pro cases from the really good ones. Yes, a lot of that comes down to personal preference, but I also considered four other P’s when testing and ranking cases: protection, portability, mode, and price. Allow me to describe each of them in detail.

Protect

This is one of the most obvious indicators of a phone case’s value, since protecting your phone from drops and scratches is the main job of a phone case. The main thing to look for here is MIL-STD-810G certification. This means that the material of the housing has been tested for a wide range of conditions, from shock to high and low temperatures. This is explained in more detail at Ubergizmo.

However, keep in mind that these specs are for the case material itself, not the inside of the phone, so I usually pay special attention to the form factor of the case itself. A slim case can claim military-grade drop protection, but due to the laws of physics, it can’t compare to a bulky protective case with raised bezels.

portability

This category is a comprehensive way to demonstrate solid cases that are not designed to provide maximum protection. For many users, a giant OtterBox case will be redundant, especially those who prioritize being able to easily hold their phone and store it in a pocket. A case doesn’t have to be super drop-resistant to get a high score, but if it isn’t, it better has a grippy and compact design.

pattern

Considering how beautiful the nude iPhone 14 Pro is, to keep its new look, it would feel awful to cover it with a piece of unsightly plastic.

price

The last category is probably the least important, but it’s still worth mentioning in my review because iPhones are already so expensive that they have their own payment plans.

It’s always a plus for me if I find a cheap case. But I’m also not afraid to throw my hats in a luxury case, as they usually have higher quality materials like calfskin and an antimicrobial coating.

That said, I’m not too sure regarding the price of the case, as it will almost certainly change over time, especially when you factor in the occasional sale.

Personal preferences

Although I’ve tried to keep it out of my case reviews, personal preference remains the reader’s most useful tool for picking the ideal iPhone 14 Pro case. So while it may not be part of my 4 Ps, it should definitely be your top priority when making your buying decision.

If you think the case I like is ugly or redundant, don’t buy it! It’s your money and your phone, so at the end of the day, you can equip it however you want. Please think twice.
