Tottenham Hotspur’s Clement Langley loan transfer is imminent.

[골닷컴] Correspondent Choi Dae-hoon = Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League are close to signing Clement Langlet on loan following the signing of Hisharlisson.

Tottenham Hotspur, who are having a more successful summer transfer window than anyone else, is already approaching their fifth signing. Following Fraser Foster, Ivan Perisic and Yves Visuma, Everton’s Hischarlisson transfer is a known fact, and news has been reported that a centre-back, who needs reinforcement, is nearing the door.

On the 30th (Korean time), the sports media ‘The Athletic’ reported that “The contract to bring French centre-back Langley from FC Barcelona on loan is imminent.”

Langley, who joined Barcelona ahead of the 2018-19 season, had high expectations for his debut season, but started to show a sluggish appearance from the 2020-21 season and gradually lost his position.

Even in the 2021-22 season, he became the fourth-ranked centre-back following Gerard Pique, Ronald Araujo and Eric Garcia.

Barcelona wanted to dispose of Langley, who was reduced to a surplus due to financial circumstances, and Langley needed to secure time to play in order to qualify for the 2022 Qatar World Cup final roster. At the same time, Langley was spotted on Tottenham’s radar, which needed a left-footed centre-back, and negotiations began.

Sports media ‘ESPN’ also said, “According to the sources, there will be an important meeting to reach an agreement on Langley’s negotiations within the next 24 hours.” It was announced that a transfer was imminent.
