How does Pix by Approximation work?
To use Pix by Approximation, the customer needs to register their account with Google Wallet and make authorization at the bank. When paying, just touch your cell phone to the machine and that’s it: the transaction is done in seconds, without having to open the bank app. This feature is available to Itaú customers and will make everyday payments even easier.
Contactless payment is already quite popular in Brazil because it is fast e insurance. The use of this technology in face-to-face transactions reached 61.1%, showing that people like the practicality. With Pix by Approximation, Itaú wants to make this experience even simpler, ensuring a fast and secure payment method for customers.
In addition to the new feature, Google has included new security called Night Mode: between 8pm and 6am, the system will block transfers to unknown accounts, which helps protect the user at riskier times. Furthermore, as payment is made just by touching the cell phone, the customer does not need to enter a password, which makes the experience more practical.
Google also announced other news for those who use Pix: now, it will be possible to pay with the “Pay with GPay” in online shopping apps. Additionally, the Preview Pix will allow customers to choose Pix as a payment option while browsing the browser Chrome. These new features will make using Pix even easier for consumers.
