Between exorbitant salary and extended accumulation, the DH is looking at the crazy figures of our public officials.
In 2020, the Belgian cumulation champion was Renaud Witmeur, former chief cab of the socialist Rudy Demotte and current director general of the University Hospital of Brussels (HUB). This is what emerges from the ranking compiled by Cumuleo, the citizen observatory of public mandates. Two years ago, the Walloon carried out 58 mandates, 5 of which were remunerated for a total of some 260,000 euros, including chairman of the management committee of Sogepa or chairman of the board of directors of Iris-Faîtière. Behind him was Paul Dujardin, 54 terms, including director of Bozar, adviser to the Advisory Committee on Art in the Senate and member of the scientific committee of the Kanal foundation. In third place, comes Julien Dessart, member of the management committee of Integrale, his only paid mandate. His 46 caps lead him to be present in investment companies, insurance companies or even in the Ogeo pension fund.
