L’Olympique de Marseille have experienced frenetic activity on the transfer market since the arrival of Pablo Longoria in 2020. In four seasons, the club recorded 56 arrivals and 70 departures, for a total of 126 moves, placing it the third most active Ligue 1 club behind Nice and PSG, according to Transfermarkt data.

This hyperactivity was accompanied by a significant turnover: 28% of recruits (i.e. 16 players) have already left Canebière, some of whom following just one season. The financial results are also notable: OM invested €294M for a total of €150M recovered, i.e. a deficit of more than €140M. This figure places the club in second position behind PSG in terms of transfer window losses.
At the club since 2020 as sports director then president
Pablo Longoria arrived at Olympique de Marseille in July 2020, taking over from his compatriot Andoni Zubizarreta. First sporting director working for Jacques-Henri Eyraud, he took over from the latter as president of the club from February 2021. A position he still holds today.
