Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police (Soetta) recorded that 533,244 homecoming travelers left Jakarta via Soekarno-Hatta Airport. This amount is an accumulation from D-5 to D-3 of Eid or Friday (5/4) to Sunday (7/4).

“From the start of the Ketupat Jaya operation on April 3 to April 7, the interest of travelers was still high,” said Soetta Airport Police Chief Commissioner Roberto Pasaribu in his statement, Monday (8/4).

Roberto said, based on data from Angkasa Pura II, the increase in homecoming traffic began on Friday (5/4) with a total of 179,353 passengers, or an increase of 34% from the same period in 2023.

Furthermore, the Soetta Airport Police have also prepared service posts to anticipate an increase in homecoming traffic for Eid 2024. The police have also set up security posts, information and health service posts, and integrated posts.

The police are also collaborating with the Airport Authority Region I Soetta Airport and Angkasa Pura II to provide the ‘Presisi Ramadhan 2024 Mother Child Friendly Post’ service, namely a corner in the airplane boarding waiting room at Terminals 1, 2 and 3 which is specifically intended for children and mothers.

The post contains a play area with facilities for painting, arranging disassembled toys (Lego), and also provided clown entertainment in the form of children’s friendly police and snacks.

“This includes food for breaking the fast for children and mothers who are waiting to board the plane,” he said. (Z-11)
