“Interest is increasing across Austria, both from households and from suppliers,” says Alfons Haber from the E-Control regulatory authority, commenting on the recent trend of installing a small solar power plant on the balcony. On average, almost 100 “balcony power plants” are put into operation in Upper Austria in one week. This year there will be a total of around 5,000 new micro-systems for solar power generation.
