The scene is where the bike falls into a deep gorge. Tom Cruise rides a bike. So needless to say, dupe is not even in that area! Along with the bike, Tom Cruise will also fall into Coca. The location is deep Koka in Norway.
An epic behind-the-scenes video for Mission Impossible 7 reveals how the stunt scene was filmed. The making of Tom Cruise’s deadliest stunt scenes, which included 500 skydives and 13,000 motocross runs, left viewers wondering: ‘Is he human’?
It took years for Tom Cruise and his crew to film the most dangerous stunt scene in Hollywood history. Tom jumped from the plane thirty times a day for skydiving training. So Tom Cruise successfully completed more than 500 skydives and 13,000 motocross jumps during stunt training.
Before shooting the scene, the first step was to set up a set similar to a cliff in Norway. Cardboard boxes were stacked on the bottom, similar to that of a cliff. To understand the shape of the ramp Tom has to ride the bike, GPS is attached to his clothes and his movements are recorded.
After months of hard work, the ramp was set up in Norway where the stunt was to be shot. The necessary materials were brought by helicopter. The Aybak ramp was completed by engineers and technicians. Before filming the scene in Coca, Tom Cruise took a helicopter and skydived into Coca to check the weather and conditions first hand.
Tom Cruise explains in the video what it’s like to ride a bike fast over the side of a cliff. If you ride the bike according to the direction of the wind and jump in the right position, death is guaranteed. If you fall from the ramp while riding a bike, you may get injured. Even if the parachute gets caught on the bike while jumping, life may be lost. We are watching this making video with bated breath. But in front of Tom Cruise, what a cock! Cruise did okay on the first take. Tom came down with the parachute and said, ‘Let’s take one more shot, I’ll hold the bike for a little while longer.’… So that jump Tom jumped six times.
“This is the most dangerous stunt we have ever attempted. It was in preparation for years. It was shot in Norway. A motorcycle jump from a cliff is going to be filmed. Now I’m getting to do what I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid.” – says screenwriter and director Christopher McGuire.
Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning part one and two is the most awaited project in Hollywood. The film is currently being shot in South Africa. The video also includes clips of the action star’s grueling preparations to act in the adventure. Christopher McGuire also mentions that not only this, but more adventure is yet to come.
Dead Reckoning is the seventh film in the Mission Impossible franchise. After Mission Impossible Rogue Nation and Mission Impossible Fallout, this is the film directed by Christopher McGuire. Part One will hit theaters on July 14 next year and Part 2 on June 28, 2024.
