Is the ARD blind in the green eye?
Or why does the WDR let the state-despising leaders of radicals and incendiary and stone throwers make propaganda from Lützerath live for 50 minutes? Why do four of the Greens and Climate Front have their say on “Anne Will” for the Sunday talk round – but only two critics?
Highlight from WDR, the largest ARD broadcaster:
On Sunday, he showed 50 minutes of extremist and activist propaganda, violent criminals whining, lies and general, unsubstantiated allegations of violence once morest the police – and all this live and without comment on public broadcasting!
► An alleged “paramedic” Iza Hofmann etched unchallenged regarding “unrestrained” police violence: There is a “high two to three-digit number of injuries”, including – vaguely enough – “many seriously injured, some critically injured people,” says Hofmann.
The injuries were caused by the police, namely mainly with “pepper spray, also batons, fist and horse attacks”. There are “many breaks” “in all body regions”. Above all, it was regarding “head injuries”, the police had “systematically hit heads”, there had been “unrestrained beating”.
PROBLEM: There is not a single documented case of seriously injured squatters or protesters. The supposed “paramedic” Hofmann refused to give numbers or examples.
Excuse: The police misuse such data to look for perpetrators in clinics. After all: WDR researched this – and published the fact.
AND: Hofmann is not part of the regular paramedics, but belongs to a Radicalos support team. She is a member of the youth organization of the Greens, the Green Youth in Trier.
► A sentence questioning the rule of law also remained uncommented. Christopher Laumann from “All Villages Remain” practically called for vigilantism: “If the law protects the destruction, then it needs resistance to it.”
► A representative of the group “Black, Indigenous and Colored People for Fridays for the Future” (“BIPOC for Fridays for Future”) castigated across the board: “inexcusable violence by the police” – as they “especially marginalized people regularly experience”. As if police officers had been chasing colored demonstrators.
The NRW-born FDP federal politician Alexander Graf Lambsdorff (56) to BILD: “It is the task of public broadcasting to classify critically – but not to transmit propaganda without comment.”
NRW Interior Minister Herbert Reul (70, CDU) is stunned: “WDR endangers its reputation if it broadcasts a radical group live for 50 minutes. Unacceptable things are being transmitted unchallenged,” Reul told BILD.
“There is no moderation or intervention before or following the course. This is not acceptable! This press conference bordered on propaganda by radical activists. And the WDR broadcast it happily.”
And what does the WDR say?
When asked by BILD it said:
► “In parallel to the events on site, there was a comprehensive analysis and classification in our programme. The stream for the press conference mentioned was part of a multi-day live ticker on wdr.de and in the WDR aktuell app.”
► And further: “Both in this ticker and on television and radio, our reporters on site and the colleagues from the WDR newsroom have the events – including the statements on the PK, among other things regarding the injured – once more and once more critically questioned.”
Nevertheless, on Monday morning in the ARD morning magazine (produced by WDR), the Green “paramedic” Hofmann spoke once more with her blanket, unsubstantiated allegations from the press conference. unchallenged.
But by then the storm of indignation regarding the ARD talk show “Anne Will” was raging through social media. Will (56) had interviewed climate icon Greta Thunberg (20) on Sunday evening, her German noble counterpart Luisa Neubauer (26), as well as climate researcher Mojib Latif (68) and also Green leader Ricarda Lang (29) in the green and left climate corner.
On the other hand, only NRW Interior Minister Herbert Reul (connected) and the economist Michael Hüther (60) from the Cologne Economic Institute were placed.
When asked by BILD, the NDR responsible for Will: “The editors of the program ‘Anne Will’ always select the guests according to journalistic criteria. In the program on January 15, 2023, the current conflicts between the Greens and the climate movement were to be discussed, among other things. In our opinion, this was achieved through the casting and interviewing.”
