A budgetary envelope of 50 million DH (MDH) has been allocated to finance the supply of drinking water to douars within the territorial collectivity of Sidi Ali El Korati, in the province of Essaouira.

Funded by the National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE, Water Branch), this project, the work of which was completed last August, is part of the program to reduce territorial disparities and social.

According to data from the provincial direction of the sector in Essaouira, this project consists of the construction and equipment of a pumping station, two semi-buried tanks with a capacity of 150 m3, two other semi-buried tanks with a capacity of 100 m3, three recovery stations with tarpaulins and 94 standpipes, in addition to the laying of pipes (100 km).
In addition to these efforts made by ONEE to meet the needs of the populations in this vital matter in this part of the national territory, particular interest is given to this question of water supply in a predominantly rural province like that of Essaouira, particularly within the framework of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).

Indeed, the Provincial Human Development Committee (CPDH) has made this issue a priority, through the programming of a series of high-impact projects and interventions within the framework of the INDH.
A total of 133 projects were carried out in the province of Essaouira during the period 2019-2022, as part of the program to make up for deficits in infrastructure and basic social services of phase III of the INDH, for a global investment of 199.3 MDH.
