5 things that impressed us about the Samsung Galaxy S23

O Galaxy S23 arrived this week during the highly anticipated Unpacked 2023, and Samsung highlighted during the launch some interesting news present in the brand’s new line of smartphones. One of them was the rapid availability in the Brazilian market, as this was the first time in history that Samsung launched its flagship line in the US and Brazil at the same time.

5 things that impressed us regarding the Galaxy S23

In addition to the quick availability in Brazil, let’s highlight at least five points that Samsung sent very well in the launch of the Galaxy S23. See below:

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2: the most powerful processor

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is already an impressive upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, chip that was in the best Android phones last year. But Samsung was not satisfied with just the new version of the processor and created a special version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 made exclusively for the Galaxy S23. Initial tests showed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra outperformed the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro in performance, which is rare for an Android phone.

The deal is now 256 GB

For some time now, we at Oficina da Net have not recommended buying a cell phone with 32 GB or 64 GB, even more so because the applications are increasingly heavy. Of course, 128GB is the bare minimum these days. Any cell phone more or less has to have 128 GB. But the Galaxy S23 is not just any cell phone, so we need a basic version of the device starting with 256GB of storageat least. Thankfully, Samsung complied with our request and if you want more space, you have the option of up to 512GB.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 200 MP main camera deserves a spot on this list, not just because it’s “200 megapixels”. It is important to remember that the quality of a camera does not depend only on the number of megapixels, but also on the aperture, sensor size and image processing tools. We all know how much care Samsung takes with its cameras, even more so now with the addition of the “adaptive pixel sensor” that allows the camera to automatically adjust to different lighting conditions.

Refined and minimalist design

The design of the entire S23 line — Galaxy S23, S23 More e S23 Ultra — followed the same basic look as last year’s devices, but now more minimalist and modern, giving a more professional feel. The result pleased Sammy fans a lot and, fortunately, the tendency is for the entire new generation of smartphones to be launched with this look.as is the case with the Galaxy A54, spotted with the same design as the S23 line.

More powerful cooling system

Last but not least, we can highlight the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s new cooling system. The vapor chamber, which is important for the cooling process, has gotten bigger, even though the size is practically the same as the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Samsung claims this allows its new top-of-the-line to be considered one of the best gaming phones. Also, the battery life should increase by at least 30% because of the cooling of the device.
