In addition, according to Amazon, thanks to the implementation of a Carta 1200 e-ink display, page turning is 20% faster and it is really possible to notice this improvement when compared to the 10th generation of Paperwhite.
3 – Perfect for those who like to read before bed
If you like to read a little before bed, be it a book or a comic, the Kindle Paperwhite 5 (11th generation) has a very interesting new feature: the amber tone (“yellow” light). This functionality is exclusive to the new generation of paperwhite and allows the user to change the white light to yellow light (amber), bringing more comfort when reading in darker environments.
Although the Kindle Paperwhite 4 (10th generation) had a dark mode (dark mode), where the e-book letters are white and the background black, the use of yellow light tone brings greater comfort for reading. To activate this functionality, simply access the drop-down menu at the top of the screen. In addition, it is possible to set a time for the white light to change to yellow automatically.
Another point that helps even more with comfort during reading is the number of LEDs on the Paperwhite 5 (11th generation) screen. 4 – USB-C standard and wireless charging are finally present
Considering that the USB-C connection has become a popular standard, it’s about time Amazon implemented a USB-C port on its Kindle. The use of the USB-C standard allows for faster charging, in addition to making it possible to use cables from other devices to connect the Paperwhite 5 (11th generation) to a charger.
In the case of wireless charging, not all Paperwhite 5 (11th generation) models have this capability. Only the Paperwhite Signature Edition is capable of recharging its battery through wireless charging technology. However, keep in mind that you will need to buy an extra accessory to use this way of charging.
