WhatsApp is constantly evolving, bringing news, borrowing others from other messengers, helping people somehow communicate and organize their things. Among the novelties, the one that stands out the most is finally the option to connect two or more smartphones at the same time, something that already existed in practically all other instant messaging apps.

1. Connect WhatsApp on multiple phones

Connect WhatsApp on 2 cell phones

The first feature, finally arrived, was the possibility for you to connect up to 5 different devices to the same account. Yes, there are 5, the original and another 4 auxiliaries. These 4 other devices can be a computer, a cell phone and even tablets.

I use WhatsApp originally on the iPhone, I activated an Android as a secondary, WhatsApp was able to pull up all the conversations and history perfectly, as you can see in the image. If you want to know how to connect WhatsApp on two cell phones, I’ll teach you here.

2. Sliding Navigation

The second interesting feature that arrived a short time ago is the sliding navigation, now when you drag your finger off the screen to one side, you go from one tab to the other. This makes it really easy if you want to browse communities, groups, and contacts, or see your contacts’ Statuses (if anyone sees that at all).

This new function is in beta and was only used on Android, on the iPhone when dragging to the side the conversation is marked for archiving or deleting.

3. Talk to yourself

The third novelty, which appeared a few months ago, is the option to talk to yourself. Yes, this option is great for you to store information and exchange files from one device to another.

Imagine you want to save an address to read later, just send a message to yourself with the address. Or if you want to save a photo from your cell phone and send it to your computer, just send the photo to your own contact, then open your computer and download the image there.

4. Mute unknown calls

The fourth feature is to silence unknown calls. There is a wave of calls from unknown numbers now calling through WhatsApp, if you don’t want to receive calls from numbers that are not your contacts, there is an option to mute them, that is, not receive the call.

To do this, we have put together a tutorial that explains it here. how to silence unknown callers on WhatsAppbut basically it’s go on Settings > Privacy > Calls and mark the option not to receive unknown calls.

5. Favorite messages

The fifth and final feature I’m going to show you today is favorite messages. The favorite message system is useful for saving important messages within a chat. Imagine you talking regarding some business, you receive important information, such as an address or password, when you receive more messages, you end up getting lost in the conversation and you can’t find the information anymore. If you bookmark the message, then you can find it faster and easier.

To do this, just hold down the message, then a star will appear on top.

favorite the message

Okay, the message was favorited. Now to find it, click on the conversation, the image below will open, then find the menu Starred messages or Favorite Messages. When you open the screen, you will only see messages that you have bookmarked.

So, if you like the new features, share them with your groups and contacts.
