Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned Russia once morest the liquidation of Ukrainian fighters in Mariupol, and said that their liquidation will end negotiations with Moscow and may put an end to all peaceful solutions proposed to end the war.

With the Russian war on Ukraine entering its 52nd day, the Ukrainian president revealed the size of the losses in the ranks of his forces, telling CNN that between 2,500 and 3,000 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and regarding 10,000 others were wounded during the ongoing war.

The New York Times said that the Russian bombing of military targets with a barrage of missiles across Ukraine on Saturday was in response to the sinking of a Russian naval vessel in the Black Sea, and in preparation for a fierce attack in the eastern Donbass region.

The newspaper pointed out that the Russian strikes destroyed workshops in a tank factory in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, and a facility for repairing military equipment in the southern city of Mykolaiv, and also targeted the Ukrainian military factory in the outskirts of Kyiv, called “Visar”, which produced the “Neptune” anti-ship missile that Sink the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the Moskva.

She said that the missile attacks were carefully studied to weaken Ukraine’s ability to resist the expected Russian armored attacks in the Donbass battle, noting that it also shows Moscow’s ability to strike anywhere in the country.
