4th World Media Meeting in Alanya from October 3 to 6 – El Periodista

From October 3 to 6, the fourth edition of the Global Media Gathering of the Global Journalism Council (GJC) will be held in Alanya, in which important Turkish and foreign journalists from Turkey and almost 30 countries will participate.

The guest of honor of the gigantic organization will be the president of Gagauzia, Evghenia Gutul.

The IV International Media Meeting, which has become a tradition and whose first three events were held in Alanya, consists of a series of events, especially the Media Workshop and the Awards Ceremony.

Within the framework of the meeting, in which GJC journalists from Turkey and the world will participate, as well as important foreign journalists from almost 30 countries, several trips to tourist sites in Alanya will also be organized.

The president of Gagauzia, Evghenia Gutul, will also receive an award at the gigantic organization that will be held in the important tourist hotels of Alanya, Eftelia, Adin and Lonicera.

GJC TOGETHER

The Alanya meeting will be attended by almost all GJC members from all over Turkey, local and foreign media assemblies, as well as many provincial GJC representatives and almost 30 representatives from foreign countries.

Within the framework of the meeting, invited journalists who will arrive in Alanya on Thursday, October 3, will discover Alanya with a trip that will be organized on Friday, October 4. On Saturday, October 5, before the Media Workshop, which will begin in the afternoon, the elected boards of directors of the GJC will meet until noon and discuss the professional and sectoral agenda and the reports that will constitute the workshop agenda.

The workshop, which will begin after the regular meetings of the GJC leadership and traditional, local and foreign media councils, will include presentations on various topics as well as professional problems and solutions. With the participation of local and foreign journalists, opportunities for sectoral and social cooperation and solidarity will be discussed.

DIGITAL AND SOCIAL NETWORKS AGENDA

The media panel will also talk about professional training and the future of journalism (such as digitalization and artificial intelligence).

Associate Professor Dr. Hüseyin Yayman, Chairman of the TBMM Digital Media Commission, who is also a journalist, will offer important information on legal regulations and legal developments regarding current social media channels, especially Google.

On the media panel, Professor Dr. Levent Eraslan “The impact of social media on traditional journalism”, Professor Dr. Zakir Avşar “The ethical stance in the media in light of current events”, Zafer Küçükşabanoğlu “ Artificial intelligence in the media” and İsmail Bayazıt “Big data” will be moderated by Yayman. The final statement will then be announced.

7 GLOBAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS WILL BE AWARDED

On the afternoon of October 5, in the ballroom of the 5-star Lonicera World hotel, the awards ceremony will take place, with the participation of the president of Gagauzia, Evghenia Gutul, as well as important names as guests of honor. locals and foreigners from the world of media and politics. This year, the Global Achievement Awards will again be presented at 7 branches. Gutul, president of the autonomous state of Moldova, where Turks live, will receive GJC’s Global Diplomacy Award. In addition to Gutul, important names from the media and sports community will also receive awards. Among the winners are a journalist and a media organization working in Palestine.

GROWING DIM MOMENTUM

GJC Chairman Mehmet Ali Dim said that the growing interest and momentum of Alanya’s traditional gatherings each year is satisfactory.

Stating that journalists from almost 30 countries, including Turkey, will participate in the event in Alanya in line with the Council’s global and international identity, Dim said: “We will also make an important contribution to the tourism image of the global brand Alanya.
