It was in March 2022 when the Fourth Police Station of Curanilahue informed the Concepción Military Prosecutor of the disappearance of ammunition inside said police station located in the Bío Bío region. According to what was described in the police report, to which the Radio Bío Bío Investigation Unitthe events occurred at 11:40 p.m. on March 19.
That day, the corporal who was on duty carried out a review of the Weapons Room of the 4th. Curanilahue Police Station, located on the second floor. Upon inspection, he noticed that a blue Magtech box was missing 50 rounds of 9mm caliber ammunition, and they had also disappeared 5 shots of the same caliberof the same brand, which were in the room available for service personnel.
The next day, a review of the Arms Room was carried out once more, without positive results since the ammunition was not found. And according to the report, there are only three people who have a key to access the room: SOM ASA, Sergeant JGA and Corporal 1 GHF. One of them is the person reporting the disappearance.

According to Carabineros sources in Santiago, what happened in Curanilahue was not a robbery, according to what was reported to the Military Prosecutor’s Office. Since it was only said that there were two people who had the keys and there was no indication of force in the things.
