49% of workers would change to another job to improve their well-being

Taking care of the mental health of employees at a time when the hybrid scheme continues is one of the main challenges for organizations in Mexico, since 49% of employees recognize that they would change their workplace if another company offered better solutions to care for them. of this aspect, according to figures from ManpowerGroup.

Two examples related to the change in employee health are: small problems in the company have become ‘points of conflict’, and people admit to being more sensitive; This is confirmed by 31.6% and 44.1%, respectively, of Mexicans who participated in the “Report on the State of Remote Work in Mexico during the COVID-19 pandemic”, published by the University of Puebla (UPAEP).

The consultant points out that there is a growing call to action on ways to prevent burnout, build resilience and increase the mental health of employees. And it is that 3 out of 10 workers will seek this year to be provided with more options focused on taking care of their mental health and avoiding burnout, according to data from the report “The Great Realization” by ManpowerGroup.

Along with the impact the pandemic has had on physical health, organizations are being hit by productivity losses, generated by employee absenteeism and presenteeism. Globally, 30% of employees are taking leave because they are more tired working from home, increased headaches, joint pain, among other effects.

This is why it is so important for employers to realize that if they do not invest in company culture, in transforming wellness plans, they will have difficulty attracting and retaining talent. In addition, they will need to prepare to lose it to organizations that do invest in this issue.

Regarding the recently celebrated International Day of Happiness, a frequent questioning focuses on how to strengthen or initiate actions aimed at ensuring the general well-being of employees.

The report finds that 1 in 5 recruiters plan to offer more benefits such as additional vacations.
