47 points and the game-winner!

If we often have our eyes fixed on the NBA, it never hurts to take a break on blue-white-red basketball, especially when we see big crazy things. Friday evening, in Pro B, the young Tom Digbeu panicked the counters by achieving one of the best performances in the history of the French second division.

37 minutes of play, 47 points in total, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 13/16 in shooting including 5/6 from 3-pointers and 16/19 in free throws (!), all that for an evaluation of… 50. Here is the digital performance of Alain Digbeu’s son yesterday on the floor of the Jean Degros sports complex in Denain. And as if that weren’t enough, Tom also planted the game-winner (with the board, proof that everything was working for him) to give victory to Alliance Sport Alsace 113-110. In short, a dream evening.

47 points is obviously a personal best for Tom Digbeu. 50 rating is also a season record in Pro B, and even the best rating in the history of the second division for a Frenchie if we are to believe our colleagues of BeBasket.

By making an impression in this way, the son Digbeu (from the 2001 generation like Killian Hayes and Théo Maledon) hopes to take advantage of his time in Pro B to bounce back following several setbacks (linked to injuries, among other things), and aim higher in the future. The one who had notably been drafted in the G League by the Motor City Cruise in 2022 did not experience the ascent that seemed to him promised, but that does not mean that he gave up on his ultimate goal: the NBA.
