46-year-old shoots St. Oswald to win the derby

“Old but gold” – a motto that definitely also applies to Stefan Oberreiter. The 46-year-old scored in the local duel in the North District League between SV Freistadt and St. Oswald bei Freistadt to make it 3-0 for the guests.

A much-celebrated goal: The veteran even received a yellow card following the goal because he had taken off his bodysuit. “Rightly so, he just wanted to show that he was still physically fit,” says St. Oswald section leader Daniel Winklehner with a smile.

In the fall, Oberreiter, who had only played for St. Oswald in his long career, was reactivated in the fighting team’s squad because the Mühlviertel team had to complain regarding many failures. Winklehner: “Before that, he was still in reserve with the ball for years. He’s good with the ball and has always been a good kicker.” He showed that once more in the derby.
