The Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters announced that there were 43,286 new confirmed cases as of 00:00 on the 30th. It has fallen below 50,000 in five days since the number of confirmed cases of 30,000 on the 25th.
In the past week, the number of new confirmed cases per day was 64,704 → 34,361 → 8351 → 76,784 → 57,464 → 5568 → 43,286.
Among the new confirmed cases, 43,274 were domestic and 12 were imported. The total number of confirmed cases has reached 17,237,788.
The death toll stood at 70. A total of 22,794 people have died from COVID-19 in Korea so far. The fatality rate was maintained at 0.13% on the 23rd day.
The number of seriously ill patients being treated at the hospital stood at 490, down 36 from the previous day’s 526. The utilization rate of intensive care beds is 26.3%, and there are 37948 home-treated patients nationwide.
