427 new infections in Tokyo, less than 500 since January 5 last year: Tokyo Shimbun TOKYO Web

The Tokyo metropolitan government announced on the 24th that it had confirmed 427 new cases of the new coronavirus and seven deaths. It is the first time in a year and a month since the number of new infections in a single day fell below 500 since January 5, 2022 (388 people), which was the beginning of the sixth wave of infection. Bed occupancy rate is 18.7%.

The average number of new infections per week was 970.4 as of the 24th, 66.7% compared to the previous week. The total number of patients in Tokyo is now 4,311,456.

By age group, 2 aged 0, 14 aged 1-4, 12 aged 5-9, 45 in their teens, 83 in their 20s, 81 in their 30s, 76 in their 40s, 61 in their 50s, 60-64 17 aged, 8 aged 65-69, 18 in their 70s, 5 in their 80s, 5 aged 90 and over. There were 36 people aged 65 and over.

The deceased were men and women between the ages of 60 and 90.
