These three days dedicated to literature will be punctuated by readings, round tables and numerous activities for the whole family. The Rouen Normandy Metropolis and the City of Rouen financially support this event, as part of their commitments to culture and the European Capital of Culture 2028 candidacy. The Children’s Book Festival also receives financial support from the Normandy region and the Department of Seine-Maritime.
For Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, Mayor of Rouen, President of the Rouen Normandy Metropolis, Laurence Renou, Vice-President in charge of culture, Marie-Andrée Malleville, Deputy Mayor in charge of culture and Christine de Cintré, Delegated Metropolitan Councilor tourism and Rouen European Capital of Culture 2028: “For us, Culture is essential. In an increasingly difficult economic and social context, particularly for the world of books, we are continuing our commitment to the Lis moi les mots association which organizes the historic Rouen Children’s Book Festival. Culture for all, by everyone and everywhere: this is our horizon. It is also that of our candidacy as European Capital of Culture 2028.”
