400 homes to be built for Caracas Metro workers

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced this Thursday the construction of 400 homes for the families of Caracas Metro workers.

During a work day of the Great Transport Mission, from the La Paz Metrobús Workshop Yard, Maduro announced that he approved the funds to Minister Ramón Velásquez Araguayán for the construction of 400 homes.

These houses would be built to benefit the workers of the Caracas Metro. The president also said that he instructed the Minister of Transportation to maintain close contact with the workers, that “listen to them and change everything that needs to be changed in the company, based on its complete recovery“, he said.

Within the framework of the Great Transport Mission, Maduro made a televised visit to La Bandera Station, in the parish of San Pedro, Caracas. Mayor Carmen Meléndez was there supervising the recovery and modernization of route 7 of the Metrobús.
