40 programs in 6 centers for people of determination

The Ministry of Community Development has announced the “me and my brother” summer program in government centers for people of determination, which will continue until the end of this June, and includes 40 workshops and programs that are being implemented in 6 centers for people of determination affiliated with the Ministry of Community Development, in partnership with the UAE Special Olympics and the Center Dubai World Trade Center, the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the Sharjah Museums Authority, and a number of related authorities.

The summer program allows participation for all people of determination in the country and their siblings, as events are organized at the level of the Department of Care and Rehabilitation of People of Determination in the Ministry, at the Dubai Center for People of Determination, Ajman Center for People of Determination, Umm Al Quwain Autism Center, in addition to the Ras Al Khaimah Center for People of Determination, and the Fujairah Center for People of Determination. of Determination, and Dibba Al Fujairah Center for People of Determination.

The activities included in the summer program “me and my brother” vary, both in person and in the virtual, to achieve a wide participation of people of determination in various categories of disabilities and their families, members of “Mashaghel” and their families, teachers, supervisors and specialists in the centers. The events include interactive and direct workshops, which are organized in an amazing world.

The program also includes various sports and recreational activities, competitions, specialized workshops, and educational meetings, in addition to sessions and programs to educate brothers of people of determination on how to deal with various disabilities, and how to provide support to their brothers in achieving the goals of independence skills, in addition to workshops for brothers of students of determination regarding the impact of use. Excessive use of smart devices, and sessions to transfer knowledge to students’ siblings regarding verbal and nonverbal communication methods and methods during the summer, in an easy way to practice at home, and maintain the student’s language level. As well as lectures and workshops on abuse, protection and rights to be provided to people of determination, and many other awareness and educational programs and events.
