Heavy rain caused a cliff as high as 40 meters to slide and block road access in Cibuluh Village, Pasirsalam, Mangunreja District, Tasikmalaya Regency. There were no casualties in the incident.
The joint team carried out the process of cleaning the road from landslide material.
Head of the Tasikmalaya Regency BPBD Emergency Section, Dede Sudrajat, said that the high intensity of rain caused a 10 meter high cliff to landslide. Landslides closed the 8 meter long road with a material thickness of 2.5 meters.
Cleaning of the location was carried out by joint officers. However, the process was slow due to lack of equipment.
“The landslide occurred at around 05.00 WIB. Currently the access road connecting Pasirsalam Village and Cibuluh Village cannot be passed by vehicles or pedestrians,” he added, Thursday (7/3).
