(CNN)– The four University of Idaho students found dead overnight Sunday in a home near campus have been identified, the Moscow, Idaho, Police Department reported Monday.
The students were Ethan Chapin, 20, of Conway, Wash.; Madison Mogen, 21, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; Xana Kernodle, 20, of Avondale, Arizona; and Kaylee GonCalves, 21, of Rathdrum, Idaho.
Moscow police said they are investigating the deaths as homicides. However, he did not provide any other information regarding the events. As of noon Monday, no suspects were in custody. Authorities have asked anyone with information regarding the case to contact police.
“The Moscow Police Department and the city of Moscow are deeply saddened by the families of these individuals, their colleagues and friends, and our community during this time,” the institution said.
“We send our sincerest condolences to each and every person affected by this incident,” he added.
The police have indicated that “there is no current threat”, public the university on Twitter this Sunday without giving further details.
Agents responded to a call regarding an unconscious person shortly before noon Sunday and discovered all four bodies, said the Moscow Police Department in a press release.
“It is with deep sadness that I share with you that the university was notified today of the deaths of four University of Idaho students living off campus who are believed to have been homicide victims,” said University President Scott Green. , in a statement addressed to the community.
